Reverse Trend – NaPoWriMo 2015 – Day 30 (to prompt)

For this last day of thirty, I wanted to end strong,
So, it is quite exciting, this challenge taken on,
I nearly didn’t do it, it created quite a storm,
But I’m almost there I think, as I see a poem form.

To make the brain work backwards, thinking like a pup,
This is really hard to do, as I work my way back up,
I’m trying to write to prompt, is it working, yes or no?
The final day, day thirty, for this year’s NaPoWriMo.

It really is quite strange, so difficult to ensure,
That all the words now flow, I really can’t be sure,
As I write from the bottom, this poem to a trend,
Is this the beginning or is it now the end?

The final prompt for NaPoWriMo 2015:
“Today, I challenge you to write a poem backwards. Start with the last line and work your way up the page to the beginning.”

So I did! Phew! I see I’ve repeated the last day of thirty so I think this must be important to my subconscious! 🙂

Congratulations to all of us who made the thirty!

And to those excellent poets who write one or more poems everyday – whether during April or not – my undying admiration! 🙂

Thanks to NaPoWriMo for all the prompts and resources and to all of you who have read, liked and commented on my efforts – you all kept me going! – a HUGE thank you and much appreciation.

I hope this is just the beginning of the new relationships started; and to all who have been following for a while now, so happy to have all of you along.
Your presence makes the lonely writing space infinitely less small, alone and much more fun!

We have a long weekend here in SA (as maybe in many other parts of the world!), so, if we don’t touch in during the weekend, have a great one and,…see you all next week! 🙂
