Friday’s English Haiku – #24

***

Heavily laden
Summer slices fast through spring
Attacks at full tilt

Note: Our spring has been very short and temperatures are already in the 30s – with no rain in sight! Nature appears to be following new patterns and paths.

Friday’s English Haiku – #21

Sun rises, buds pop
Small green sprouts on stark tree boughs
Winter losing grip

Note: We have had a mild winter here in South Africa…and it appears to be leaving us!!

English Haiku #16

****

Holding darkness tight from light
‘Til dawn breaks the dream

P. S. Many thanks to all of you who have recently become new followers. Touches me deeply that you enjoy the poetry I present here. I am presently having internet connection issues but I will visit your blogs and touch in personally as soon as I can.

Wishing everyone a great weekend (and hoping this actually posts! 🙇)
