Thoughts, mighty essence,
Twirling in infinity,
Seeds life deep within.

Mighty thoughts, essence,
Creating expanding space,
Room for growth to thrive.

Essence, mighty thoughts,
Engender hope, healing, love,
Eternal presence.

Early Morning Thoughts #3

Bring life to the illusion,
Light to the dark,
Love to the human heart,
Fulfil the longing of the soul.

Love Is Freedom

For NaPoWriMo/GloPoWriMo 2016 – Day 14 (to prompt – see below)

It took me time scrying the surface,
To find the truth that lay below,
So deep and buried, hidden far from view.
The surface briefly rippled, I nearly missed the hidden trace,
The truth that, as it came to light, I wondered should I know?
Yet, as this truth broke surface and brought me to my knee,
A surge of understanding from deep within me grew,
A soaring wave of hidden love that set my spirit free.

Hopefully, my brain fog has lifted! 🙂

The prompt: “Today’s prompt comes to us from TJ Kearney, who invites us to try a seven-line poem called a san san, which means “three three” in Chinese (It’s also a term of art in the game Go). The san san has some things in common with the tritina, including repetition and rhyme. In particular, the san san repeats, three times, each of three terms or images. The seven lines rhyme in the pattern a-b-c-a-b-d-c-d.”

Comment: I find eight lines in this rhyming pattern and in the example given so have gone with the eight rather than the seven…

Spiritual Paths

Spirits flew to God knows where
Chances given, life to share
Given again the second chance
Fulfill the promise, dance the dance
Find within the inner line
Hold on tight do not define
The reason for the very soul
Its pathway and the way to go
Where few have followed, few have gone
Feel the light so brightly shone
Walk the path though oft untread
Carry on through fear and dread
Drift through curtains one by one
Falling into hearts unsung
Feeling life, the ebb and flow
Moving onward, upwards go
Step into the other world
Where life begins and ends unheard

Being Beyond

To See Beyond - Jan 6 2016-blue meditation-pixabay

Ethereal beings in parallel streams
Flow with life in unparalleled dreams

Diverse planes lie side by side
Purer by far than those we hide

Thoughts are paramount

Remaining so
Though life experiences ebb and flow

Wonder not the way of being
Accept it as a way of seeing

Divinity Does Not Rest

Old ways left behind
Harrowing pathways ploughed
Now lie quiet

Breathing, fermenting new life

Except the wanderers
Who forage white fallow
Withering fields
Seeds yet to break their mould
Free their smothered wings
Light the sky
Open eyes
And feel

But never get the chance

The followers devour their find
Feed their frenzy
Fill their fear

Love’s potential dies
Life disperses
Hollowed success drowns in tears
As hunters hunt themselves
Holding history, tradition, dogma, high
Trampling freedom, life, love
In dusty, dying soil
Under hard leather boots
Laughing as souls wither
Ignoring the inner cries
Deaf to the roaring heavens
Blind to the building light
As Power Intensifies

Divinity Does Not Rest Nor Relent

Note: I wrote this together with yesterday’s poem as one piece, this one flowing on from yesterdays. However, on reading and re-reading they really felt like two separate poems, even though there are some threads running through both. Very strange! So, I have split them where I felt the darker side entered and made them two poems.
Would love to hear feedback…..Any thoughts?

Love Beyond

Lovers fly on gilded wings
Lighting up the sky
There exists amazing sights
Missed by people passing by

A pause, a flare, so bright my eyes unseen
Feel for your touch
Where your skin has been
And mine now follows

Daring to break tradition
Threatening history in its wake
Forcing new pathways open
As I stretch for you

You pause
I flare
We touch

Moving forward unseen

Silent wings take flight

New Life In New Worlds

New Life In New Worlds - Aug 3 2015 - morguefile

So, there it was,
First sign of day,
Three suns rising,
While four moons slipped away.

“That time of year,”
The wise men said,
“When blue turns gold,
While orange changes red.”

No-one knew
Quite what that meant,
So we just watched,
While heaven changes sent.

Or so they said,
These men of sight,
Who lived and died,
While spreading God’s own light.

I wondered why
These devotees
Would wander caged
While God’s own light was free.

So, as day changed,
Gold turned to blue,
I held my breath,
Whilst new life came to you.

Tapestry of Life

Thick tapestry underfoot
Lifetime experiences sent
Interwoven with each moment
Singing to the dawn

Step gently, tread carefully
Do not risk life through haste
Or tempt death with your waste
Your being so precious

Let light lift you up
Above a life you’ve made
Beyond experiences braved
Into dimensions craved
