Constellations born from strife

Here we seek solace

The Universe
A chaotic, violent home
Of gas, matter, material
All bound together
Or torn apart
By magnetic energy
Far greater than
Human minds can

Fly with me into the Cosmos
Know we will never return
Understand chaos rules
Accept no comfort zone
Believe all will be well

Gamma rays, X-rays
Ultra-violet rays
More rays than our sun
Than our understanding
Than us

Disturbance rules
Now is but a blink
Time is counted in aeons
Movement in moments
Life in Eternity
Felt through the now

  1. I love the word choice and photo! The last stanza really brings it home
for me 🙂 I have a fascination with time and with the moments within moments so that really spoke to me.

I think there is an order to all the “chaos” out there and it’s all held together by a very meticulous thread. The chaos comes in our attempts at understanding, or should I say mastering, how that thread is weaved through the fabric of our being.

    • Thanks for your comment Jason – and for the follow! I also hold a fascination with time and dimensions and perceptions. So agree with you – I feel the human part of us tries to understand something way past it’s potential to understand in order to feel comfortable and ‘in control’. It seems many of us have difficulty accepting the thread and going with the weave hence the chaos, yes? Especially as the weave is so meticulous and subtle – so easily drowned by the noise of our perceptions but never broken or disrupted from its path – regardless.

    • Thank you Elizabeth! Yes, it surprised me too! Just came out. Glad you like it. I am beginning to think that all moments are really chaotic – only our human part that tries to make them fit into some semblance of order so we can retain the Illusion of control and so feel safe. It’s an interesting journey!
