Hidden Eyes

Great poetry, yes? This man is good!

Richard M. Ankers - Author

Her eyes are glazing over,
But not at sight of me.
She’s lost in endless rapture,
A temptress all at sea.
She seeks to suck the hormones
From imagined beaus,
When all that she could wish for
Is here in me, I know.
If only darkest shadows
Hadn’t shaded cobalt eyes,
Then both our lives would differ
But now, there’s just goodbyes.
