Opposites

Nights shady, shades of night,
Darkly lit, shining bright,
Moon of shadows, sun of light,
Opposites attract so tight.

Sweeping angry, moving fast,
Slowly dragging, forgiving past,
Wonder not what does it mean,
Follow still the way unseen.

Plus and minus mean no more
Than all that you between them store,
Accept your new day, clearly lit,
Turn down the dark path, bit by bit.

  1. I love your poems–I’m especially intrigued by “follow still the way unseen”. Wondering if the last line means to “shun” the dark path–or turn down it a little at a time?

    • Thank you. Always great to get good feedback isn’t it! 🙂
Yep, when I wrote the last line I meant it as ‘shun’ but liked the double meaning…. Leaves the choice to the reader! Like that! 🙂
